For our fourth LTT meeting, the Media Smart Citizens of the Future met in Italy from October 2nd to October 8th 2022. They gathered in the Abruzzo region, in the towns of Pescara and Ortona. Our brave citizens visited the Media Museum in Pescara, where they learned more about cinematic techinques and the evolution of films and film projection. They also visited the Holy Face of Manoppelo and learned about the fact and fiction behind its story. Then, our citizens attended a workshop on "Beyond the true and the false: fake news war", which helped them to check the facts before taking news for real. Our fantastic trip to Italy ended with a fabulous trip to historic Rome and its monuments and outstanding views. Besides the wonderful moment they spent together, our citizens also became more aware of the importance of distinguishing what is real from what is fake and how important it is to check all the facts in reliable sources.
