“Smart Media Consumers and Sharers” was the title of the LTT meeting in Portugal from March 7th to 11th 2022. Students and teachers had workshops about how ads influence our choices and how we can become more aware consumers. Students created some flyers with a few tips regarding the different ways for consumers to defend themselves from the influence of ads and commercials. Also, students had fun creating PSA related to very serious matters, while becoming aware that not everything about ads is bad. Besides all the hard work, the meeting also included some very interesting trips to some of the most meaningful monuments and sites of Portugal, providing further knowledge regarding the culture and history of the country, a trip to Pavilhão do Conhecimento (Science interactive museum), as well as some wonderful moments of hanging out and getting to know each other better.
All in all, it was a wonderful event, where kids and teachers worked together and prepared very interesting activities.
